We are little Rafalek's parents and we opened this site so wonderful people like you can donate towards our son's rehabilitation.

Our son was born November 19th, 2003 weighing at 8 pounds 9 ounces & measuring 18 inches long, with a disorder called "Club Feet" At 5 days old, he was transfered to a Children's Clinic in Katowice, where he was tested for all other hidden disoders. When he was 8 days old he already had casts on his feet that were changed every 2 weeks for 7 months. We later on had to change doctors, as the one that we already had, cut our little boy's leg (with a saw) during the removal of his casts. The following doctor we found gave little Rafalek leg braces (found in our photo gallery). It was hard at first, as we had to put the braces on ourselves. However, we were happy to at least give our little boy a "normal" bath for the first time in his life. In 2006, Rafalek was directed to do his first procedure involving a tendon pull of the big toe. In 2007 we had to repeat the procedure as the first one had no results and from that, Rafalek once again needed casts for 6 weeks. After the second procedure we bought him special, medical overalls (photo in gallery) which helped with his rehabilitation and stimulated the correct growth of his legs. That year we signed up to attend the Rehabilitation Center in Zlotowie called "Zabajka" Currently, Rafalek is being rehabilitized once a week. He needs to be under a constant care of his orthopedic doctors, because a disorder of this nature is one that cannot be cured. He constantly needs his rehabilitation sessions so that his feet stay in the correct position and his tendons don't harden. This type of disorder also has it's other cons such as knee & hip deformality which has a negative effect on his overall alignment.

We are now trying to save money for his sessions in "Zabajka" However, one 2-week session costs $1345 which is way more than our finances can manage. Therefore, we would be very greatful for any donations towards our son's medical help. For each and every donation.
